The Best Testimonial Your Ever Going To Read…..

EJM have had the pleasure of working with Faccombe Estates which is based in North Wessex Downs, an area of natural outstanding beauty owning 4,250 acres. There is a popular pub within the grounds called The Jack Russell Inn which is a definite must go to.

We were recommended to the estate by another contractor to work on the removal of Ash Trees from around the public area next to the pub.

We started the work at Faccombe Estate where we spent the whole week to get these dangerous trees down, and get the job finished efficiently and safely.

EJM have been working with a lot of clients on the Ash Dieback as the disease continues to spread. We made the decision to invest in a Merlo Roto 40:30 which goes up to a height of 30 metres and with it’s the Westtech Woodcracker Grapple Saw attachment it can dismantle trees efficiently and safely. This machine has become extremely popular when we have been working on trees by not having to put a climber up the tree which reduces the exposure to severe and fatal injuries.

At EJM Tree Services Ltd we strive to give our customers a first-class tree surgery service, so with these factors in mind and the estate wanting there to be minimal disruption, minor ground disturbance and no damage to the recreational area, we were able to complete the specification with ease and maintained the area outside The Jack Russell.

We would like to thank Faccombe Estates who trusted us to take on this job and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Faccombe Estate is in a position, like many in the country, where Hymenoschyphus fraxinueus (Ash Dieback) has devastated large areas of woodland, field hedgerows, footpath margins, roadside edges and around estate properties. It is these last three areas where liability issues arise if trees fail.

We were delighted to have EJM Tree Services complete some very important and technical tree safety work around the Jack Russell Inn which lies at the heart of the village, both geographically and literally. The pub is very successful and popular with visitors and hosts many estate events and meetings.

EJM Tree Services were asked to remove multiple, large, mature Ash trees from a recreational area which includes a car park, pond and large grassy area outside the pub. Not only were all of the trees diseased, but all overhung the recreational area, fencing and deer park boundary. In  most instances, the disease has rendered Ash too dangerous to climb. In addition, the estate had asked that there be minimal disruption to the recreational area outside the pub and minimal ground disturbance and damage.

Each of the trees were carefully and successfully mechanically dismantled using a Merlo based extending grapple-saw which was expertly employed to great effect. All branchwood was chipped and carted off site and all timber was cut to our specific firewood lengths and extracted using their Valtra tractor-based crane and trailer.

The work was completed precisely and on time, to the agreed specification and price. Stump grinding followed later at the request of the estate.

All of the men employed, from chainsaw operatives to tractor and grapple saw operators, were polite, helpful and expert in what they were asked to do. The estate even requested that work start later than anticipated to avoid disturbing pub guests. The site was left in an immaculate and tidy state.

EJM Tree Services are a highly professional and expert tree team and we would not hesitate in recommending them. We will continue to use them going forward for the substantial workload which we are facing with our Ash trees on Faccombe Estate.
